Priyanka Chopra Exits Saif Ali Khan’s Film Over Scheduling Conflict: Report
Priyanka Chopra has reportedly stepped away from an upcoming period drama starring Saif Ali Khan and directed by Ritesh Batra. According to a report by Mid-Day, a scheduling conflict prevented the actress from joining the project.
A source told the publication that Priyanka wanted to work with both Saif and Batra. However, her existing professional commitments made it difficult to match her availability with the film’s shooting dates.
“She was keen to headline it, and work with both Saif and Ritesh. Her existing professional commitments, however, led to a scheduling conflict,” the source said.
The report also stated that the production team tried to adjust the shooting schedule around Priyanka’s commitments. However, the plans did not work out.
Saif Ali Khan’s Period Drama Begins Filming
The film began shooting in Mumbai on October 21. According to the report, the crew started filming at a museum in Byculla.
Following Priyanka’s reported exit, the makers began searching for another actress to play the female lead. The casting process had reportedly narrowed down to two candidates, with a decision expected soon.
Meanwhile, Saif began filming his scenes during the early days of production.
The team also planned a continuous shooting schedule across several locations in South Mumbai. This approach would help the production move from one stage to the next without major breaks.
