Jason Sudeikis Addresses the Possibility of Ted Lasso Seasons 5 and 6

Jason Sudeikis has shared his thoughts on the possibility of more seasons of Ted Lasso. Although the Apple TV comedy has continued beyond its originally planned ending, the actor says the future of the series remains uncertain.

Sudeikis, who plays the beloved football coach Ted Lasso, previously believed the show would conclude with its third season in 2023. However, the series later returned for a fourth season, renewing interest in its future.

During an interview on Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, the actor discussed whether fans could see Seasons 5 and 6.

Jason Sudeikis Is Open to More Ted Lasso

Sudeikis expressed interest in returning to the role, suggesting he would welcome the opportunity to continue the story. However, he stressed that producing more seasons would require the involvement and commitment of the wider team.

“I would like to,” he said, while adding that “it takes a village.”

When asked whether Apple would be willing to continue the popular comedy, Sudeikis said, “I would assume so.”

His comments suggest that the possibility has not been ruled out. However, the actor stopped short of confirming that the streaming platform had approved additional seasons.

Have Seasons 5 and 6 Been Confirmed?

Despite fans’ hopes for more episodes, Sudeikis made it clear that no decision had been finalised.

“I just don’t know,” he said when asked whether the series would return. He also revealed that the team had not started a writers’ room for another season.

A writers’ room is an important early stage of television production, where writers develop storylines and scripts. Without that process underway, the show’s future remains uncertain.

For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement before treating Seasons 5 or 6 as confirmed.

Ted Lasso Continues After Its Original Ending

The series initially concluded its third season in 2023, leaving viewers wondering whether Ted’s story had reached its end. Its return for Season 4 in 2026 brought the character back to the screen.

All four seasons are available to stream on Apple TV, according to the supplied report.

While Sudeikis appears interested in continuing the series, any further instalments will depend on decisions involving the creative team and the streaming platform.
