    Tom Holland Says AI Can’t Replace Human Creativity

    Tom Holland has shared his views on the growing role of artificial intelligence in the entertainment industry, firmly stating that human creativity cannot be replicated by machines.

    Speaking on the Spanish talk show El Hormiguero, the 30-year-old actor said that artists remain safe because true creativity is rooted in human emotion and lived experience.

    Holland explained that creativity is deeply connected to feelings, relationships, and understanding others, which he believes AI cannot genuinely comprehend.

    While acknowledging that artificial intelligence can process and analyze large amounts of data, he stressed that it lacks emotional awareness, such as understanding happiness, sadness, or personal struggle.

    According to Holland, artistic expression is not simply about imitation or technical output, but about communicating inner experiences in a personal and meaningful way.

    He added that this human element gives him confidence in the future of creative industries, saying he feels “protected” as an artist because authenticity cannot be copied.

    The actor is currently promoting several upcoming projects, including Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, where he will appear as Telemax. The film is scheduled for release in July 2026.

    Holland’s comments come amid wider debate in Hollywood over the impact of AI on film, acting, and creative jobs.

    Some filmmakers, including Guillermo del Toro, have raised concerns about AI’s influence on artistic integrity and cultural understanding, warning of potential loss in “cinematic literacy” if reliance on technology grows unchecked.

    At the same time, other industry figures have taken a more optimistic stance, suggesting AI could become a helpful tool in production and storytelling if used responsibly.

    Holland’s remarks add to the ongoing conversation about where technology ends and human creativity begins in modern entertainment.
