India bid farewell to one of its most iconic musical voices as Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92, according to the Press Trust of India.
The legendary playback singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai after suffering from a chest infection and exhaustion. She breathed her last on Sunday, marking the end of an era in Indian music.
Her last rites are scheduled to be held at Shivaji Park Crematorium, with fans expected to gather in large numbers to pay their final respects to a voice that transcended generations.
