Jenny Slate Joins Hulu’s Lex
Jenny Slate has landed a leading role in Hulu’s upcoming comedy pilot Lex. According to Deadline, the 44-year-old actress and comedian will star opposite Teen Wolf actor Dylan O’Brien.
Sean Clements wrote the comedy, which follows Lex, played by O’Brien. Meanwhile, the former reality star finds himself in serious trouble after a $20 Cameo video accidentally captures a murder in the background.

Dylan O’Brien Plays a Disgraced Reality Star
Lex once enjoyed fame as a reality television personality. However, his life changes when powerful forces begin hunting him.
He decides to run while trying to uncover the truth behind the murder. At the same time, Lex uses the social skills he developed while dealing with the toxic world of reality TV.
His goal goes beyond simply staying alive. In addition, he hopes to expose the conspiracy and eventually find his way back onto television.
Jenny Slate Plays Holly
Slate will portray Holly, the pilot’s only other series regular. Meanwhile, her character has her own reasons for getting involved in the dangerous investigation.
Holly recently lost her job as a personal assistant to a murdered tech CEO. Soon after, she becomes connected to Lex and gets pulled into the larger conspiracy.
Her organizational skills prove useful during their investigation. Furthermore, Holly has firearm knowledge that she picked up somewhere along the way.

Jenny Slate’s Acting Career
Slate has built a diverse career across television and film. Over the years, she has appeared in projects including Gifted, It Ends with Us and Parks and Recreation.
Now, her role in Lex gives her another opportunity to showcase her comedic talent while taking on a character involved in a much darker story.
What to Expect From Lex
Hulu has not yet announced a full series order or release date for Lex. Still, the combination of Slate and O’Brien gives the comedy pilot an interesting cast.
