A new initiative in San Francisco will provide free studio and exhibition space to artists. The project, called Art + Water, was co-founded by writer Dave Eggers and artist JD Beltran.
The space will host regular exhibitions and community events. Its primary function is to offer long-term studio space to approximately 30 local artists at no cost.
The project aims to address the city’s affordability crisis for artists. Organizers hope it will help sustain San Francisco’s creative community.
