Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have officially settled their long-running legal dispute connected to the 2024 romantic drama It Ends With Us, bringing an end to months of intense courtroom drama and public scrutiny.
The settlement was confirmed Monday in a joint statement issued by both parties. While financial and legal terms were not disclosed, the statement said both sides hope the agreement provides “closure” after more than a year of highly publicized litigation.
Lively, best known for her role in Gossip Girl, filed the lawsuit in December 2024 against Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios
, and other parties. She accused the defendants of creating an inappropriate work environment during filming and alleged retaliation, defamation, and invasion of privacy following production.

Baldoni, who directed and starred in the film alongside Lively, denied wrongdoing and argued that he had addressed concerns raised during production. He also defended his decision to hire crisis management professionals after what he described as public criticism from Lively.
The legal conflict intensified after Baldoni filed a defamation lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, claiming they damaged his reputation. However, the court later dismissed those claims, along with a related case against The New York Times.
Despite the controversy surrounding its production, It Ends With Us performed strongly at the global box office, earning more than $351 million worldwide. With the settlement now finalized, both sides appear ready to move on from one of Hollywood’s most closely watched legal battles in recent years.
