Ryan Coogler’s upcoming reboot of *The X-Files* has cast its male lead. Himesh Patel will star in the new series for Hulu.
The project, which remains under wraps, is described as a contemporary take on the classic sci-fi franchise. Patel is set to play one of the two central investigators.
In other casting news, CBS’s drama *Tracker* has promoted Chris Lee to series regular for its second season. He will reprise his role as security specialist Russel Shaw.
