Following a two-year hiatus since her critically acclaimed biographical drama Maria, Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie is officially making a powerful return to the big screen. Film distributor Vertical has unveiled the highly anticipated first-look trailer for Couture, a deeply emotional, fashion-centric drama set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
Directed by Alice Winocour, the film stars the 50-year-old Oscar winner as Maxine, an American filmmaker whose world is turned upside down during a high-stakes trip to Paris Fashion Week. The official trailer reveals a heavy, gripping storyline: Maxine must desperately balance her career-defining fashion project, a complex romance with a Frenchman (played by Louis Garrel), and a sudden, shocking breast cancer diagnosis.
For Jolie, the role hits incredibly close to home. The actress previously revealed that she wore her late mother’s personal necklace throughout the filming of Couture. Her mother tragically passed away on January 27, 2007, at age 56, following a long, courageous battle with breast and ovarian cancer.

Reflecting on the raw emotional weight of the project during a Q&A session at the Toronto International Film Festival, Jolie shared a vulnerable insight into the production. “I feel like it’s such a personal film,” she confessed. “It felt so private that in my mind, it’s probably the one film that doesn’t feel like a film.”
Combining the breathtaking aesthetic of European high fashion with a devastatingly intimate health crisis, Couture is already generating massive early buzz as one of the most defining performances of Jolie’s legendary career.
