Yash Reveals Son’s Reaction to His Ravana Role in Ramayana
Actor Yash recently shared how his seven-year-old son reacted to his role as Ravana in the upcoming film Ramayana. His son, Yatharv, found it difficult to understand why his father was playing Ravana instead of Rama.
During an interview with television presenter Suma Kanakala, Yash discussed his son’s reaction to the film. He explained that Yatharv had grown up hearing the story of the Ramayana from his grandparents.
Therefore, the news of his father’s casting confused him.
Yash Explains His Ravana Role to His Son
Yash recalled that his son directly questioned his casting.
“You are Ravana?! How can you be Ravana? Aren’t you Rama?” Yatharv asked him.
The actor said he used drawings to explain the difference between real life and acting. He wanted his son to understand that actors play different characters on screen.
However, Yatharv had another question. He wanted to know which character he should support if his father played the villain.
Yash admitted that this was a difficult question to answer. He also suggested that some fans might have similar doubts about his decision to play Ravana.

Yash Shares a Message About Rama and Ravana
Yash explained the difference between the two characters to his son. He said people should follow Rama’s values instead of being attracted to Ravana’s power or appearance.
His son also asked whether his father would die or lose the battle in the film.
“Listen, I am just playing that role. It’s a different thing,” Yash explained.
The actor, known for Googly, admitted that he had considered how fans might react to his casting. However, he had not expected his son to ask him the same questions.
He said he never imagined that his role would lead to such a conversation at home.
