Rising star Nicholas Galitzine has opened up about the monumental responsibility and personal triumph of stepping into the boots of Prince Adam for the upcoming live-action epic, Masters of the Universe.
Speaking to the press at a high-profile preview event alongside co-star Idris Elba, the 31-year-old actor admitted that securing the role of the universe’s most powerful hero was an absolute “pinch me” moment, highlighting a long journey from his early days trying to make it in the industry.
“It is surreal. I remember coming out here exactly where we’re standing as a 20-year-old, you know, when I’d come out here for pilot season. I’d stay here for three months and sleep on people’s couches. A Bold New Vision for Eternia
Directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings) and produced by Amazon MGM Studios alongside Mattel Films, Masters of the Universe introduces a fresh, narrative-driven spin on the classic 1980s lore.
The story follows a young Prince Adam who crashes to Earth in a spaceship, separated from his iconic, magical Power Sword. Living as an ordinary civilian for nearly two decades, Adam finally tracks down the weapon, whisking him back across the cosmos to defend his home planet, Eternia, from a devastating civil war.
To save his world, he must unlock the mysteries of his past to transform into the legendary warrior, He-Man.
