Stray Kids will not compete at the 2027 Grammy Awards. JYP Entertainment confirmed that the group submitted no music for consideration.
The agency confirmed the decision to local media. It did not explain the reason for the move.
JYP also did not say whether the new Asian Pop category influenced the decision.
The Grammy submission deadline closed on August 21. Artists must submit music to enter the Academy’s nomination process.
All eight Stray Kids members received invitations to become Recording Academy voting members this year.

The members are Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N.
The decision follows BTS, which also chose not to submit music for the 69th Grammy Awards.
BTS announced its decision in July. The announcement came after the Academy introduced the new Asian Pop category.
At an August press conference in Seoul, Stray Kids members avoided directly discussing their Grammy plans.
Hyunjin said the group focuses on its music rather than awards or chart records.
The Recording Academy confirmed that the Asian Pop category will appear at the 2027 Grammys.

The Academy also said it received a strong number of submissions for the category’s first year.

The 69th Grammy Awards will take place on February 7, 2027. The Academy will announce the nominees on November 16.
