Horror icon Sarah Michelle Gellar, along with co-stars Elijah Wood and Kathryn Newton, were forced to evacuate the prestigious Le Bristol Paris on Wednesday after a fire broke out during a high-profile press event.
Emergency at Le Bristol: 400 Guests Evacuated
The incident occurred while the cast was promoting the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 cult hit. According to reports from TMZ, the fire originated in the hotel’s kitchen during a scheduled press call.
The situation triggered a massive response, resulting in the emergency evacuation of the entire building, including approximately 400 guests. A representative for Le Bristol confirmed the mass evacuation in a statement to Entertainment Weekly, emphasizing that the safety protocols worked perfectly and no injuries were reported.

The Aftermath: Michelin-Starred Restaurant Remains Closed
Hotel management has since confirmed that the fire was fully contained and extinguished by local authorities. While most of the hotel and its luxury outlets have reopened to the public, the property’s Michelin-starred restaurant, 114 Faubourg, remains closed for further inspection.
The cast has since returned to the hotel, though the disruption has temporarily paused the promotional tour for the film.
