Salman Khan Postpones Mumbai Event After Nana Patekar’s Death

Salman Khan postponed his Mumbai event on Thursday after veteran actor Nana Patekar died.

Nana Patekar was 75 years old. He died at his home in Goa after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest.

His death brought tributes from many people in the Indian film industry.

Salman Khan and Nana Patekar Worked Together

Salman Khan and Nana Patekar shared the screen in Khamoshi: The Musical.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the film in 1996. Manisha Koirala and Seema Biswas also starred in the movie.

In the film, Nana played Joseph, the father of Annie, played by Manisha Koirala. Meanwhile, Salman played Raj.

Their work in the film remains a notable part of both actors’ careers.

Salman Khan Postpones Mumbai Event

Salman was due to attend a GB Realty event at Taj Lands End in Bandra.

However, organizers postponed the event after news of Nana’s death came out.

Nana died in the early hours of October 8 at his home in Goa.

According to reports, doctors tried to save him with CPR for about 45 minutes. He was later declared dead at around 5:20 am.

Nana Patekar’s Last Public Appearance

Nana Patekar made his final public appearance just days before his death.

On October 4, he attended the Samraat Club International installation ceremony in Dona Paula, Goa.

The event became one of his last public appearances.

Nana Patekar’s Film Career

Nana Patekar was born Vishwanath Patekar on January 1, 1951, in Maharashtra.

He started his career in theatre. Later, he entered the film industry and made his movie debut with Gaman in 1978.

Over the years, Nana appeared in many popular films. His work included Parinda, Prahaar, Agni Sakshi, Khamoshi: The Musical, Shakti: The Power, Ab Tak Chhappan, Apaharan and Taxi No. 9211.

He also became popular for his comedy roles.

For example, his character Uday Shetty in Welcome became a fan favorite. Nana later returned as Uday Shetty in Welcome Back.

Nana Patekar leaves behind a long and memorable film career. Fans and fellow actors continue to remember him for his strong performances and distinct style.
