The veteran actor reportedly experienced chest pain at his Goa residence before doctors found him unconscious on Thursday morning. A medical team soon reached his home and provided emergency treatment.

Doctors later took the actor to Manipal Hospital, where medical staff continued efforts to revive him. Reports say CPR was performed, but he did not respond to treatment. Authorities have also registered a medico-legal case, while a post-mortem examination is awaited.

Born on January 1, 1952, Patekar entered the film industry with Gaman in 1978. Over the years, he established himself as a respected performer in both Hindi and Marathi cinema.
