Prabhas’ upcoming action film Spirit has received a new release date. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced that the film will arrive in cinemas worldwide on October 29, 2027, during the Diwali period.
Vanga shared the update on X alongside a new poster featuring Prabhas in a rugged look. The actor appears with a thick beard and black cap, while shadows cover much of his face.
The announcement has increased excitement among fans who are waiting to see Prabhas in the director’s next action drama.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga Reveals Spirit Release Date
Vanga confirmed the release date in his social media post, writing, “29th October Diwali 2027. Worldwide release date.”
The new poster offers a glimpse of Prabhas’ appearance in the film. However, the makers have not revealed many details about the story.
The project brings together Prabhas and Vanga, who gained widespread attention for directing Animal. Their collaboration has already attracted interest from fans of action cinema.
Triptii Dimri Joins Prabhas in Spirit
Triptii Dimri is set to play the female lead opposite Prabhas in Spirit, according to the supplied report.
The casting has drawn attention because Deepika Padukone was initially linked to the project. However, reports suggest that disagreements over remuneration, working hours and other production terms led to her departure.
These reports also claimed that Padukone sought a fee of around ₹25 crore for approximately 35 days of work, along with a share of the film’s net profits.
The producers reportedly considered the proposed terms financially unworkable. Reports also pointed to differences over working hours and production requirements.
However, these claims should be treated as allegations unless the parties involved confirm them publicly.
What to Expect From Prabhas’ Upcoming Film
Spirit is an upcoming action drama directed by Vanga and starring Prabhas. The director’s previous film, Animal, attracted major attention for its intense storytelling and controversial themes.
Although the makers have revealed the release date and a new poster, the plot and full cast details remain limited in the supplied report.
With a worldwide theatrical release planned for October 29, 2027, Spirit is shaping up to be one of Prabhas’ major upcoming projects.
Fans will have to wait for further announcements to learn more about the story, supporting cast and other details.
