    Fast & Furious TV Series Gets Peacock Greenlight

    The popular Fast & Furious franchise is now heading to television. Peacock has approved a new TV series based on the hit action movie franchise.

    The franchise has been successful for more than 25 years. Its movies have earned over $7 billion worldwide.

    The new series will bring the Fast & Furious world and its characters to television audiences.

    Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman to Lead

    Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman will work on the new series. They will write the show and also serve as its co-showrunners.

    The series will be produced by Universal Television and will be available on Peacock.

    Story details have not been revealed yet. However, the show will expand the world of the popular movie franchise.

    Vin Diesel Joins as Executive Producer

    Vin Diesel, one of the main stars of the Fast & Furious movies, will serve as an executive producer on the TV series.

    Diesel announced the project during NBCUniversal’s Upfront event in New York in May.

    The actor has previously said that fans want to see more stories from the franchise. According to Diesel, viewers want to know more about the characters and their stories.

    Why Is Fast & Furious Coming to TV?

    The idea of taking Fast & Furious to television has been discussed for several years.

    Diesel said the team became more open to the idea because fans wanted more content from the franchise.

    He also said he felt more comfortable with the move after Donna Langley took charge of NBCUniversal’s television operations.

    For Diesel, keeping the main identity of Fast & Furious is important. He wants the characters, international appeal and family theme to remain part of the TV series.

    Fast & Furious TV Series Coming in 2028

    The new Fast & Furious TV series is scheduled to premiere on Peacock in 2028.

    The show will give fans another way to enjoy the franchise while exploring its characters and stories.
