Eric Stonestreet Supports Taylor Swift’s Wedding Venue Decision
Eric Stonestreet has defended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s choice of Madison Square Garden for their wedding, saying the iconic venue offered the privacy and security the couple needed.
Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet has shared his thoughts on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s highly discussed wedding venue, praising the couple’s decision to hold the ceremony at Madison Square Garden.
Stonestreet, who attended the wedding with his wife Lindsay Schweitzer, said the famous New York location was one of the few places where the couple could celebrate privately without constant media attention.
The actor explained that a smaller or more traditional venue may not have provided the same level of security, as the couple would likely have faced intense attention from photographers and fans.
Stonestreet revealed that he and his wife initially thought the wedding invitation might be fake. Due to strict confidentiality rules and non-disclosure agreements, they could not confirm details and decided to trust the invitation.
Reflecting on the event, he said his favorite part was seeing Swift and Kelce create a space where they could enjoy a normal and meaningful celebration with their loved ones.
The actor also praised Travis Kelce, saying he has followed the Kansas City Chiefs star’s career for years and believes he is a kind and genuine person.
Stonestreet added that he was happy for both Swift and Kelce because he believes they make a great pair.
The actor has known Swift since presenting her with an award at the 2012 American Music Awards, making the wedding celebration even more special for him.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who began dating in 2023, reportedly exchanged vows on July 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York City in front of hundreds of guests.
