Drake has suffered a major financial setback after losing a $1 million betting wager on Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback fight against Max Holloway.
The rapper placed his bet on McGregor ahead of UFC 329, publicly showing support for the former two-division champion before the highly anticipated match.
However, McGregor’s return ended in disappointment after he suffered a leg injury during the opening round, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
As a result, Max Holloway was declared the winner in just 69 seconds, leaving Drake’s million-dollar bet unsuccessful.
Before the fight, Drake shared his confidence in McGregor on social media, praising the Irish fighter’s legacy and comeback.

McGregor later reacted to the unexpected defeat, saying he was prepared and confident before the injury changed the outcome of the match.
Had McGregor secured the victory, Drake reportedly would have earned nearly $3 million from the wager.
The betting loss comes at a time when Drake is enjoying major success in the music industry. The rapper recently released three albums together, including “ICEMAN,” “HABIBTI” and “MAID OF HONOUR.”

The project marked one of Drake’s biggest releases following his highly publicized 2024 rivalry with Kendrick Lamar.
“ICEMAN,” the main rap-focused album from the release, achieved a massive opening week, becoming one of the biggest R&B and hip-hop debuts of 2026.
Drake also made history on the Billboard Hot 100 during the album’s debut period, placing dozens of songs on the chart simultaneously, including multiple tracks inside the top 10.
