In a recent interview with People, the 57-year-old Lucy Liu described the experience of joining the franchise as “almost like a reverie.”

The Mystery: Despite the film’s looming release, Liu has been notably absent from the trailers. She insisted on protecting the secret, claiming the mystery is “what’s special about it.”

Liu emphasized that the sequel isn’t just a rehash of the 2006 classic. Instead, it focuses on how the characters have matured over two decades.
