A new London production of David Hare’s play “Teeth ‘n’ Smiles” features singer Self Esteem, the stage name of Rebecca Lucy Taylor. Her casting serves as a direct embodiment of the late 1960s counterculture central to the story. The play is set at a 1969 Cambridge University ball, following a self-destructive rock band. This revival opens at the Duke of York’s Theatre.
