Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance during Dakota Johnson’s SNL monologue, leaving the actress stunned and the audience cheering.
Taylor Swift gave Dakota Johnson an unexpected surprise during Saturday Night Live.
The pop superstar joined Johnson on stage during her opening monologue on October 3. Johnson had been joking about her dating history and her friendships.
Johnson then mentioned how her friends support her despite her romantic choices. Swift suddenly appeared beside her, sending the studio audience into loud cheers.
Johnson jokingly introduced Swift as her “literal therapist.” Swift quickly played along with the joke.

The singer then explained their unusual friendship dynamic. She joked that Johnson visits her home, shares her problems and then relaxes on her couch.
Swift added that she eventually tells Johnson it is late and time to go home. The playful exchange drew plenty of laughs from the audience.
The surprise marked Swift’s first SNL appearance since October 2023. It also marked Johnson’s third appearance on the long-running comedy show.
The two stars have also shared the spotlight outside SNL. Johnson recently appeared with Colin Farrell in the music video for Swift’s song “Patient Zero.”
Their latest reunion gave fans another glimpse into their close friendship.
