Taylor Swift Wins 2 MTV VMAs 2026 Awards From 11 Nominations
Taylor Swift took home two trophies at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards after receiving 11 nominations across several major categories.
The singer attended the September 27 ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where she also received the inaugural Artist Director Honors.

Taylor Swift won Video of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia” and Best Direction for “Opalite.”
Despite being nominated in 11 categories, the singer finished the night with two competitive wins.
Swift also used her Video of the Year acceptance speech to honour the late Dolly Parton.
Taylor Swift Dedicates Award to Dolly Parton
While accepting the Video of the Year award, Taylor thanked her fans for supporting her through the voting process.
She also spoke about the creative process behind the winning video, explaining that she wanted it to look like one continuous shot.
Taylor then dedicated the award to Dolly Parton.
She described Parton as the “ultimate showgirl” and praised her songwriting and storytelling.
Taylor reflected on the impact of Dolly’s music, saying that her songs create vivid stories and feel like watching a great music video.

Taylor Swift’s Other MTV VMAs 2026 Nominations
Taylor received nominations in several categories at this year’s MTV VMAs.
Her nominations included Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Visual Effects.
“The Fate of Ophelia” was also nominated for Best Pop Song.
Taylor was additionally nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Album for The Life of a Showgirl.
Her Toy Story 5 track, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” also earned a Song of the Summer nomination.
Along with her two competitive awards, Swift’s appearance at the 2026 MTV VMAs also marked a notable moment through the inaugural Artist Director Honors.
