Fans of We Were Liars have received an exciting update as Prime Video confirms that production on Season 2 of the popular mystery drama has officially wrapped.
The streaming platform shared a behind-the-scenes update on Instagram, featuring members of the cast and celebrating their return to Beechwood for the next chapter of the suspenseful series.
The post included stars Emily Alyn Lind, who plays Cadence Sinclair, and Joseph Zada, who portrays Johnny Sinclair, along with other key cast members including Candice King, Mamie Gummer, Caitlin FitzGerald and Rahul Kohli.

The announcement quickly excited fans, many of whom are still emotional after the shocking events of the first season. Viewers flooded the comments with reactions, expressing both excitement and concern about what the new episodes may bring.
Season 2 will reportedly draw inspiration from E. Lockhart’s prequel novel Family of Liars, expanding the story of the Sinclair family and exploring the secrets of the older generation.
Emily Alyn Lind will return as Cadence Sinclair, who continues investigating her family’s hidden truths while returning to the island that holds painful memories.
The upcoming season will explore the Sinclair sisters’ summer of 1999, a period filled with love, rivalry, family conflicts and dark secrets connected to the events that shaped their future.

New cast members are also joining the series, including Josh Dallas as Young Harris and Peyton List as Young Tipper. Madison Wolfe, Elysia Roorbach and Parker Lapaine will portray younger versions of Bess, Penny and Carrie Sinclair.
While filming has concluded, Prime Video has not yet announced an official release date for We Were Liars Season 2. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the next mystery-filled chapter of the Sinclair family story.
