Priyanka Chopra has achieved another major milestone in her international career as her action-comedy film Heads of State receives an Emmy nomination.
The movie, starring Chopra alongside John Cena and Idris Elba, has been nominated for Outstanding Television Movie at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The film will compete in the category against Miss You, Love You, People We Meet on Vacation, Remarkably Bright Creatures and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War.

The nominations were announced by the Television Academy in Los Angeles, with Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller revealing this year’s nominees.
The recognition adds another achievement to Priyanka Chopra’s expanding global career. Her work has already received attention at major entertainment events, including the Oscars, BAFTA Awards, SAG Awards and Critics’ Choice Awards.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Heads of State follows US President Will Derringer, played by John Cena, and British Prime Minister Sam Clarke, portrayed by Idris Elba. The two political rivals are forced to work together after a dangerous incident puts their lives at risk.
Priyanka plays MI6 agent Noel Bisset, who is responsible for protecting the two leaders as they uncover a conspiracy threatening global security.

The film also features actors including Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid and Sarah Niles, combining political satire, action and comedy.
