British actor Michael Ward has been found not guilty of all rape and sexual assault charges following a two-week trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.
The 28-year-old actor, best known for his role in the hit series Top Boy, had denied all allegations and said the encounter involved mutual consent.

Ward became emotional as the jury delivered unanimous not guilty verdicts on all charges, bringing an end to a legal case that had lasted several years.
Following the decision, his lawyer Humzah Ilyas said the actor was relieved that the trial had concluded.
The lawyer stated that Ward had always maintained his innocence and that the jury had cleared him of any wrongdoing.
He also highlighted the impact the investigation had on the actor’s personal life and career, saying the case had remained unresolved for around three and a half years.

With the court’s decision, the actor has been cleared of all allegations and can now move forward with his career.
