The upcoming movie, directed by Matt Reeves, will return Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and Batman. Production teams are preparing to shoot several scenes in Glasgow, transforming parts of the city into locations for the next chapter of the franchise.
According to reports, filming is scheduled to begin on August 18 and will continue for approximately three weeks. During this period, several roads and public routes will face temporary closures to accommodate the cast, crew, and production equipment.
The affected areas include Bothwell Street, Wellington Street, Glasgow Bridge, Broomielaw, Newton Street, North Street, Pitt Street, and parts of the National Cycle Network Route 75 along the River Clyde.
Local authorities are expected to manage traffic arrangements while residents and commuters are advised to plan alternative routes during the filming schedule.
The sequel follows the success of 2022’s The Batman, which introduced Pattinson’s darker version of the iconic DC superhero. The first film earned widespread attention for its crime thriller approach, atmospheric visuals, and strong performances.
The Batman Part II will feature the return of several major cast members, including Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon. Reports have also linked Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan to the upcoming project.
Meanwhile, fans are also speculating about the possible return of Barry Keoghan as the Joker. The actor made a brief appearance as the character in the previous film, leaving audiences eager to see whether the villain will have a bigger role in the sequel.
