Sandra Bullock has teased the possibility of a third Practical Magic film ahead of the release of Practical Magic 2.
The 62-year-old actress first played Sally Owens in the original 1998 fantasy film. Nicole Kidman starred alongside her as Gillian Owens.
The movie was based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 novel of the same name. It later became a fan favourite and built a strong following over the years.
While discussing Practical Magic 2, Bullock suggested that the story could continue beyond the upcoming sequel.
She said a third film may happen if the new movie performs well. Bullock also hinted that younger characters could take the story forward in a future installment.
In Practical Magic 2, Bullock and Kidman return as the Owens sisters. Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing also return as their magical aunts.
The sequel will also introduce a new generation of witches, including characters played by Maisie Williams and Joey King.
Bullock explained that viewers do not need to watch the first movie before seeing the sequel. However, longtime fans can expect several nostalgic references to the original story.
For now, Warner Bros. has not officially announced Practical Magic 3.
Practical Magic 2 is scheduled to arrive in US theatres on September 10, 2026.
