Salman khan explained that she had been excited about her fashion choices for the film but was surprised by Salman’s reaction to one particular outfit.
“During Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, the iconic outfit, I was very excited about my fashion, and I thought I was going to kill it, and he’s like, ‘What are you wearing? I will not give a shot with you looking like this,’” Karisma recalled.

When Johar asked whether Salman had objected because the outfit was too revealing, Karisma agreed.
“Yaa because the outfit was too open and too clingy,” she explained.
However, Salman offered a different explanation for his concerns. He said the outfit’s length was the main issue and recalled repeatedly asking Karisma to adjust it before filming each take.
“I used to keep on asking her to get it down before every take. It was all sheer,” Salman explained.
Karisma also revealed that Salman’s protective nature often became a source of disagreement between them on set. According to the actress, he regularly asked her to change clothes when he disliked an outfit.
“He would say, ‘Go and change it, I don’t like this outfit.’ So we used to fight a lot,” she recalled.
Despite these disagreements, the two stars continued to work together across several Bollywood films. Their on-screen chemistry made them a familiar pairing during the 1990s and early 2000s.
