Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has won a significant legal victory after a Los Angeles County court granted her a five-year restraining order against a man accused of repeatedly approaching her private residence.
According to court documents, the order also extends protection to her sister and her sister’s partner, following multiple alleged incidents at Carpenter’s Los Angeles home.
The ruling comes after Carpenter’s legal team initially secured a temporary restraining order earlier this month. The petition was filed after several reported attempts by the individual to enter or approach her property in late May.
Court filings state that the man allegedly appeared outside Carpenter’s residence multiple times within a short period, prompting police responses and at least one arrest. Security personnel were also involved in confronting the individual during one of the incidents.
Photographic evidence reportedly showing a man at the singer’s front door was also submitted as part of the case.
Carpenter stated in her declaration that she had no prior connection with the individual and described him as a complete stranger. She emphasized that she had never communicated with him and had no intention of doing so.
Her legal team argued that the repeated visits created a serious safety concern and demonstrated a pattern of escalating behavior.
During the hearing, the accused reportedly opposed the restraining order, but the court ultimately ruled in favor of Carpenter’s request, citing ongoing security risks.
The decision ensures that the individual must remain at least 100 yards away from Carpenter and her family for the next five years.
The case highlights growing concerns over celebrity privacy and security, particularly involving repeated unauthorized contact attempts at private residences.
