Television host and producer Ryan Seacrest has revealed why he was absent from the star-studded wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce despite initially confirming his attendance.
The 51-year-old shared that he had accepted the invitation to the couple’s July 3 wedding but later had to cancel because of a major hosting commitment with Disney’s Fourth of July special.
Speaking on his radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, the host explained that the wedding invitation was private and confidential, which is why he stayed silent while fans and media discussed the event.
Seacrest said he was excited to attend the celebration and even tried to manage both commitments, but the live schedule for the Disney event made it impossible.
He also rejected a joking comment from a co-host suggesting that Swift’s invitation had gone unused. Seacrest clarified that he genuinely wanted to be part of the special day and was disappointed he could not attend.
The television personality revealed that Swift had been looking forward to seeing him at the wedding after he confirmed his presence. He recalled a previous meeting where the singer expressed excitement about celebrating together.
However, due to his professional responsibilities, Seacrest eventually had to withdraw from the guest list while continuing to respect the couple’s privacy.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding reportedly brought together a large number of celebrities and close friends. The event became one of the most talked-about celebrity gatherings of the year.
Seacrest’s absence was not due to a lack of interest but simply a scheduling conflict between a once-in-a-lifetime celebration and an important career commitment.
