Reba McEntire to Pay Tribute to Dolly Parton
Reba McEntire will reportedly remember Dolly Parton during the 2026 Emmy Awards on Monday night.
According to a report from Deadline, McEntire will honor the late country music icon during the ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
However, organizers have not revealed what McEntire’s tribute will include.

Dolly Parton died at the age of 80 last month following what was described as a brief battle with cancer.

Parton even appeared in a 2005 episode of McEntire’s hit sitcom Reba. Therefore, McEntire’s reported tribute is expected to carry special meaning.
2026 Emmys In Memoriam Segment
The Television Academy previously confirmed details about the ceremony’s In Memoriam segment.
Noah Kahan will perform Bridge Over Troubled Water during the emotional tribute. The segment will remember entertainers and other figures who died during the past year.
McEntire’s reported tribute to Parton will add another major moment to the ceremony.
Emmy Awards to Celebrate TV Milestones
The 2026 Emmy Awards will also celebrate major anniversaries from television history.
The ceremony will mark 30 years of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar will take part in the celebration.
Meanwhile, the Emmys will honor the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels. Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith are expected to appear for the milestone celebration.

Mariska Hargitay will host the ceremony, which will feature a long list of presenters.

Additionally, actor and activist Michael J. Fox will receive the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his work and advocacy.
2026 Emmy Nominations
The Outstanding Comedy Series category includes Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking and Widow’s Bay.
For Outstanding Drama Series, the nominees are The Diplomat, The Gilded Age, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Paradise, The Pitt, Pluribus, Slow Horses and Your Friends & Neighbors.
