Police say Tiger Woods was carrying pills in his pocket when arrested for driving under the influence last week.
The golfer was taken into custody on March 27 in Martin County, Florida. Authorities report he declined to provide a urine sample during the booking process.
The incident adds another chapter to Woods’ well-documented history with prescription pain medication. He underwent back fusion surgery earlier this year and has spoken publicly about managing pain from multiple injuries.
Woods was released from jail on his own recognizance shortly after the arrest. He has not yet issued a public statement regarding the new details.
