Pedro Pascal Teases ‘Avengers Doomsday’ Set Experience Like a Dream

Pedro Pascal has officially offered a rare, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the production of Avengers: Doomsday, describing the high-stakes set as a surreal “Avengers retreat.” The 50-year-old actor, who joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is set to play a pivotal role in the upcoming blockbuster.

While promoting his highly anticipated Star Wars film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Pascal spoke with Good Morning America about the sheer scale of the production. The actor appeared visibly cautious, at one point pausing to calculate the time remaining until the film’s release to avoid leaking sensitive plot details.

“I’m looking around and I’m seeing a varying Avengers half costume, in costume,” Pascal told GMA. “It felt like some kind of Avengers retreat… It was like having a dream, but it was totally real.”

A Star-Studded Retreat

Directed by the Russo brothers, Avengers: Doomsday marks a massive ensemble event for the MCU. Pascal will share the screen with a powerhouse cast that includes:

Robert Downey Jr. (returning in a new capacity as Doctor Doom)

Chris Hemsworth (Thor)

Chris Evans (Captain America)Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange)

Vanessa Kirby (The Invisible Woman)

Pascal was quick to praise the working ethics of the Russo brothers, credited with steering the MCU’s most successful chapters, noting that the collaborative environment made the daunting project feel surprisingly grounded.

Pascal’s Blockbuster Year

2026 is shaping up to be a defining year for Pascal. Beyond his MCU duties, he is currently headlining the press tour for The Mandalorian and Grogu (set for a May 22, 2026 release) and is coming off the momentum of Gladiator II and The Materialists.

As the MCU builds toward its next major climax, Pascal’s Reed Richards is expected to be a central figure in the fight against the multiversal threats established in the post-Galactus era. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
