Paloma Faith Is Still in Therapy
Paloma Faith has opened up about the lasting impact of The Celebrity Traitors. Although the singer left the BBC reality show early, she says the experience continued to affect her long after filming ended.
The 45-year-old singer told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential column that she remains in therapy.
“I’m still in therapy,” Paloma said.
In fact, she described herself as the shortest-lived contestant who spent the longest time in therapy. She also admitted that she expected the show to feel more like a fun experience.
“I thought I was going to the playground for a laugh,” she explained.
Alan Carr’s Betrayal Hurt Paloma
Paloma’s experience became particularly emotional because her friend Alan Carr eliminated her during the first episode.
Carr “murdered” the singer by touching her face during the first elimination. As a result, Paloma took the betrayal personally, and their friendship became strained.

Speaking on his Life’s a Beach podcast, Carr joked about eliminating several contestants, including Paloma.
“I’m killing people. I’ve killed Paloma Faith,” he said.
His co-host Norman Cook, professionally known as Fatboy Slim, then asked whether Carr and Paloma were still friends.
Carr admitted that things had changed.
“Well I was … I’ll tell you. I’ve killed Paloma Faith; she’s not happy about it,” he said.
Paloma and Alan Reconcile
The pair eventually addressed the situation face-to-face on Uncloaked, the companion show for The Celebrity Traitors.
After the final, Carr explained how difficult it had been to eliminate his friend. He also made it clear that he still admired her.
“It absolutely really hurt, it really did,” Carr confessed.
Carr eventually apologised to Paloma. Fortunately, the singer revealed that they had already reconciled.
Paloma also explained why Carr’s victory meant so much to her. At the same time, she admitted that his popularity made it difficult for the other contestants to turn against him.
“I love you so much, and I’m so happy that you won because it’s bloody worth it then,” she said.
