Oude Waag presented its Fall 2026 collection in Shanghai, marking a significant moment for the label. The show underscored the brand’s evolution, focusing on architectural silhouettes and a distinct, somber palette.

Designer Xing Jian leaned into a more rigorous and structured approach. Voluminous coats and precisely tailored jackets dominated the lineup, constructed with a sharp attention to form. Fabrics were chosen for their weight and texture, adding a tangible depth to the minimalist designs.

The color story was intentionally restrained, revolving around shades of charcoal, ink black, and muted olive. This austerity was occasionally broken by flashes of deep burgundy or the stark contrast of a white collar, creating focal points within the monochromatic layers.

The collection emphasized a deliberate, almost uniform-like sensibility. This reflected a broader shift towards considered, enduring wardrobe pieces over transient trends. The presentation in Shanghai positions Oude Waag at the forefront of a movement prioritizing thoughtful construction and timeless appeal.
