Oude Waag presented its Fall 2026 collection in Shanghai, marking a distinct evolution for the label. The show centered on a refined exploration of proportion and texture, moving the brand’s signature deconstructed tailoring into more polished territory.
Silhouettes were intentionally oversized yet precisely controlled. Broad, architectural shoulders contrasted with narrow, tapered sleeves. Outerwear, a clear focus, featured elongated coats with asymmetric fastenings and cocooning wool wraps.
The palette remained deliberately muted, grounded in charcoal, ink black, and mineral grey. This somber base was punctuated by occasional flashes of deep burgundy and oxidized bronze, adding subtle depth. Fabrics emphasized tactility, combining matte wool crepe with technical nylon and lustrous faille.
Footwear and accessories continued the theme of considered distortion. Leather boots were molded into organic, bulbous forms, while bags featured irregular, geometric hardware. The overall effect was one of cerebral elegance, balancing intellectual design with wearable luxury.
