Olivia Rodrigo has shared a surprising and unsettling insight into extreme fan behavior she has witnessed during live performances, revealing that some concertgoers go to unusual lengths to stay in front-row positions.
Appearing on Kiss FM, Rodrigo was asked about awkward experiences on tour. While she did not give a direct answer to the initial question, she recalled encountering fans who reportedly wear diapers at concerts and festivals to avoid leaving their spot.
“I have been to certain concerts and festivals where people wear diapers so that they can be front row of the show,” Rodrigo said during the interview.
The singer added that the experience has even become noticeable from the stage. “That’s been an experience as a performer that I have… smelled,” she remarked, drawing shocked reactions from the hosts.
Rodrigo also referenced large-scale public events such as the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration, where attendees remain in place for extended periods. “Everyone is wearing diapers, they sit there all day. I think about it kind of often,” she added.
The conversation comes as Rodrigo continues a major phase in her career, following the release of her latest album You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love. The project has been praised by critics for its emotional depth and artistic evolution.
She is also preparing for a major global tour in 2027, which will include eight consecutive shows at London’s O2 Arena, marking her only scheduled UK headline performances.
