The longtime friends celebrated the late actor’s legacy with a heartfelt gesture honoring his career, kindness and unforgettable contributions to cinema.
Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern have reunited to remember their close friend and former co-star Sam Neill following his death at the age of 78.
Dern shared a touching tribute on social media, posting a photo with Kidman as the two raised a glass of wine from Neill’s own vineyard, Two Paddocks.
“Raising a glass to our beloved friend and leading man, Sam,” Dern wrote, highlighting the special connection they shared with the actor.
The tribute reflected Neill’s love for winemaking, a passion he pursued alongside his successful acting career. His vineyard, founded in 1993, became one of the many personal achievements he was known for beyond Hollywood.
Kidman also remembered Neill after his passing, describing him as one of the finest actors and a person who brought warmth and kindness to those around him.
The two actors first worked together in the 1989 thriller “Dead Calm,” when Kidman was only 18 years old. She said Neill supported her early in her career and that their friendship continued throughout their lives.
Laura Dern shared an equally meaningful professional history with Neill. The pair became internationally recognized for their roles as Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant in the 1993 blockbuster “Jurassic Park.”
They later reunited for “Jurassic Park III” in 2001 and returned again in “Jurassic World Dominion” in 2022, bringing back beloved characters for a new generation of fans.
Sam Neill’s career spanned decades, with memorable performances across film and television. Beyond acting, he was admired for his humor, generosity and dedication to his craft.
The emotional tribute from Kidman and Dern showed the lasting impact Neill had on his friends, colleagues and millions of fans worldwide.
