Live-Action Highlights

Proper Ladies: Executive produced by Michaela Coel, this coming-of-age comedy is based on Sabrina Ali’s award-winning play Dugsi Dayz. It follows four misfit Muslim schoolgirls in detention and stars breakout talent Kosar Ali.

The Doghouse: Stand-ups Stuart McPherson and Stephen Buchanan play brothers Steve and Stu. The plot follows their frantic, high-stakes scramble to put on a last-minute birthday show for Steve’s daughter.

Yaxlont: Developed from an online hit, this short features an overly-attached monster (Freddie Meredith) living under a boy’s bed who has a total meltdown when a girl is invited over for the first time.

Animated & Surreal Shorts

Thames View: A 1990s East London period piece featuring the voices of Tom Davis, Roisin Conaty, and Joe Wilkinson. In a unique twist, Davis and Alan Ford voice female characters in this chaotic family dynamic.

Glue: A “surreal and hilariously absurd” sketch show from Belfast artist rarewitch. Expect philosophical pigeons, stoned cats, and a madcap world that pushes the boundaries of traditional animation.

The Close: Created by Ant Blades (It’s Pony), this sitcom explores the chaos that erupts when quiet neighborhood residents fail to navigate even the most mundane moments of everyday life.
