Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon’s latest advertisement has been removed by jewellery brand GIVA after it faced criticism on social media.

Several social media users also questioned Kriti’s outfit in the advertisement. Some criticized the bralette-style blouse, cape, and draped skirt featured in the campaign.

Kriti had earlier responded to the criticism and defended her appearance. She said the true meaning of festivals comes from emotions and traditions, not just clothing.

The actress explained that Raksha Bandhan represents a bond of love and protection. She also shared that she and her sister Nupur Sanon tie rakhi to each other as a symbol of mutual care and support.

Despite Kriti’s response, GIVA decided to remove the advertisement from all platforms.

In an official statement, the brand said it respects Indian culture, traditions, and festivals. It explained that the campaign aimed to celebrate the occasion with family members, including pets.

The company added that if the advertisement unintentionally hurt anyone’s sentiments, that was never the intention. The brand said it removed the campaign as a mark of respect.

The controversy has once again highlighted the challenges brands and celebrities face while creating festival-based campaigns in the digital age.

Kriti Sanon has not issued any further statement after the advertisement’s removal. The debate continues to spark discussions about fashion, cultural sensitivity, and creative freedom in advertising.
