Sophia Laforteza Steps Away From Tour
KATSEYE fans received disappointing news as Sophia Laforteza confirmed she will miss the European and UK leg of the group’s WILDWORLD world tour.
The singer will not join performances from September 1 in DublinSabrina Carpenter Celebrates First Anniversary of ‘Man’s Best Friend’ to September 17 in Copenhagen. She will take time away to focus on her health and recovery.
KATSEYE’s management team, HYBE and Geffen Records’ joint label HxG, shared the update on social media.
The company said the health and long-term well-being of its artists remain its biggest priority. It also asked fans to continue supporting Sophia and the group.
Singer Focuses on Mental Health
Sophia announced her temporary break on August 7 after doctors advised her to prioritize her mental health and wellness.
The 23-year-old singer’s absence means KATSEYE will perform its European shows with four members.
This marks another health-related challenge for the group. Earlier in 2026, Manon Bannerman also stepped away from activities to focus on her well-being.
KATSEYE Faces More Challenges
The latest update came after KATSEYE canceled their appearance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival.
Member Megan Skiendiel injured her ankle during rehearsals. Doctors advised her to rest and avoid performing.
Despite missing the show, Megan, Yoonchae, and Lara Raj surprised fans with a stage appearance before Devon Again’s performance.
The trio introduced Baby2Baby, a charity organization that supports children living in poverty.
Megan told the audience that the group felt disappointed about missing the performance but still wanted to support Olivia Rodrigo and the festival.
WILDWORLD Tour Schedule
KATSEYE formed in 2023 through a televised competition series and quickly gained worldwide popularity.
The group’s WILDWORLD tour will begin in Dublin on September 1, 2026. The tour will then move to London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp, and Copenhagen.
After Europe, KATSEYE will travel to North America. The tour will start in Miami on October 13 and end in Mexico City on November 27.
Despite recent setbacks, KATSEYE continues its journey with strong support from fans around the world.
