Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi was forced to end his Madison Square Garden performance early after experiencing vocal difficulties during the show.
The 64-year-old singer informed fans that he was not able to continue at his best, apologizing to the audience before leaving the stage.
“I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me,” Bon Jovi told concertgoers, adding that fans should keep their tickets as the team would work on arranging another performance.
The concert ended after around 90 minutes as part of Bon Jovi’s Madison Square Garden residency. A representative later confirmed that the singer had been dealing with a sinus infection, which affected his ability to perform.
The statement said Bon Jovi has been grateful for returning to live performances and that further details about the rescheduled show would be shared soon.
The health update comes after the singer’s previous battle with vocal problems. In 2022, Bon Jovi underwent vocal cord medialization surgery to address damage affecting his voice.
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer previously revealed that doctors told him one of his vocal cords was weakening, but he remained confident throughout his recovery process.
