Jared Leto Responds to Allegations Featured in BBC Documentary
The actor and musician has denied all accusations following a documentary that includes claims from multiple women about alleged misconduct.
Jared Leto has publicly responded after a BBC documentary highlighted allegations of sexual misconduct against him, strongly denying the claims and rejecting any suggestion of wrongdoing.
The 54-year-old actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman released a statement through Page Six, saying he has never sexually assaulted anyone and describing the allegations as completely false.
The response came after the release of the documentary “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret,” which features accounts from several women alleging inappropriate behavior over a period between 2002 and 2016.
According to the documentary, 10 women shared allegations, with several speaking publicly for the first time. The claims include accusations involving women who said some encounters occurred when they were teenagers.
The program presents accounts from women identified by pseudonyms, including allegations of inappropriate conversations, sexual misconduct and unwanted behavior.
One woman featured in the documentary claimed an incident occurred when she was 17, while others described alleged interactions they say took place years later. Additional allegations involved claims of explicit phone conversations and backstage encounters.
Leto has denied all accusations and has not been charged with any crime related to the claims discussed in the documentary.
The controversy follows previous reports that also included allegations of inappropriate conduct involving the actor. Leto has consistently rejected accusations against him.
The documentary has renewed public discussion about accountability in Hollywood, where several high-profile figures have faced scrutiny over allegations of misconduct in recent years.
