Jacob Batalon Jokes He Made Tom Holland and Zendaya’s Love Story Happen
Spider-Man actor Jacob Batalon says he played a role in bringing Tom Holland and Zendaya together, as the Hollywood couple continues to attract attention following confirmation of their marriage.
Jacob Batalon has jokingly claimed credit for the romance between his Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, saying he “kind of made it happen” when asked about their relationship.
During a red carpet interview with Variety at the world premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Los Angeles, Batalon was asked if he ever imagined a decade ago that Holland and Zendaya would eventually become a married couple.
The 29-year-old actor responded with confidence and humor, saying, “I kind of made it happen for them!”
Batalon, who plays Ned Leeds in the Spider-Man franchise, also reflected on how joining Marvel’s blockbuster series changed his life.
When asked what advice he would give his younger self before becoming part of one of the biggest movie franchises in the world, he said he would tell himself to prepare for an unforgettable journey filled with new experiences and friendships.
Tom Holland and Zendaya’s Marriage Confirmed
Batalon’s comments came after Tom Holland recently addressed long-running marriage rumors surrounding him and Zendaya.
The couple, who have been together for several years, confirmed that they had exchanged vows after months of speculation.
In a previous interview with Esquire, Holland discussed fake AI-generated wedding images circulating online and revealed that his family was never confused by them because they were present at the actual ceremony.
Tom Holland and Zendaya first sparked romance rumors in 2017 while working together on the Spider-Man films. Their relationship was publicly confirmed in 2021 after photos of the pair sharing a kiss in Los Angeles surfaced online.
