The 32-year-old Grammy winner, who officially kickstarted his highly anticipated 2026 international tour at the Johan Cruyff Arena on May 16, used his signature crowd-work charisma to address a widespread “height controversy” that went viral online immediately following his opening night performance.

During the second night of the Amsterdam residency, Styles paused between songs to recount a specific backstage interaction he had with a fan who questioned his physical stature based on how he appeared on stage.
“A lovely gentleman just came and said to me, ‘You’re much taller in person. I came to the show and you looked very small,’” Styles shared with the roaring stadium crowd.
