Eric Overmyer, a playwright who became a writer for influential television dramas, has died at 74.
His television career began on the medical series “St. Elsewhere.” He later contributed to several acclaimed shows, including “Homicide: Life on the Street,” “The Wire,” “Treme” and “Bosch.”
