Ed Sheeran’s upcoming concert in Philadelphia still has tickets available following the controversy surrounding former opener Macklemore.
The controversy began after Macklemore made a political speech during a concert on Sheeran’s Loop Tour. Pressure reportedly followed, leading to the rapper being removed as an opening act for the U.S. leg.
Macklemore later claimed that Robert Kraft, the owner of Gillette Stadium, was among those who pressured Sheeran to drop him.
Other artists who were expected to open for Sheeran reportedly withdrew in solidarity with Macklemore, citing concerns about free speech.

Tickets Still Available
According to TMZ, dozens of tickets for Sheeran’s Philadelphia concert were still listed on StubHub, a ticket resale marketplace.
The outlet reported that the available tickets could indicate softer demand following the Macklemore controversy. However, tickets remaining on a resale platform do not by themselves establish the overall level of demand for the concert.
Macklemore, meanwhile, has continued to defend his political views and said he intends to keep speaking out on issues he supports.
