Dakota Johnson Addresses Romance Rumors With Machine Gun Kelly

Dakota Johnson has shared her thoughts on constant online speculation about her personal life as rumors about her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly continue to grow.

During an appearance on Vogue’s The Run-Through podcast, the 36-year-old actress explained that she no longer feels the need to respond to every rumor surrounding her.

Johnson said people often create stories about her relationships, even when she spends time with friends, managers, or colleagues. She added that trying to correct every online claim feels unnecessary.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star said she prefers using her energy on more meaningful parts of her life instead of responding to internet discussions.

Johnson also revealed that she stepped away from social media because she feels uncomfortable with the constant sharing of personal moments online.

The actress’ comments come as speculation continues about a possible romance with musician Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker.

Reports recently claimed that the two developed a connection after meeting at a celebrity wedding in New York. Their appearances together, including MGK’s fashion event in Milan, further fueled dating conversations.

Sources cited by entertainment outlets have suggested that the pair are spending time together and exploring their connection. However, Johnson has not publicly confirmed any romantic relationship.

Before the recent rumors, Johnson was linked to musician Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury. The two reportedly ended their relationship in 2026 after several months together.

Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson is preparing for her upcoming film Verity, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel. The movie also stars Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett and is scheduled for release in October 2026.

Johnson continues to keep her personal life private while focusing on her acting career and upcoming projects.
