Connor Storrie has received Emmy recognition for his work on Saturday Night Live after missing out on a nomination for the popular series Heated Rivalry.
The 26-year-old actor earned a nomination in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for hosting SNL earlier this year. However, fans hoping to see him recognized for his role in Heated Rivalry were disappointed as the show was not eligible for Emmy consideration.
According to reports, the sports romance series did not qualify because it was fully financed in Canada. Despite the setback, Storrie’s performance on SNL helped him secure a place among this year’s Emmy nominees.
Storrie hosted the iconic sketch comedy show on February 28, with musical guests Mumford & Sons. The episode also featured a special appearance from his Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams, who joined him in one of the sketches.

The actor also expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the episode possible, calling the recognition from the Television Academy a meaningful achievement.
In Heated Rivalry, Storrie plays Ilya Rozanov, a professional hockey player involved in a complicated romance with Shane Hollander, portrayed by Hudson Williams.
